About Us

Elkie: having competed on the British circuit for many years Elkie took time out to go to University achieving a 2:1 in Media Professional Practice, Elkie soon realised that to work in that industry she would have to move to London. After much soul searching she soon realised that she was a country girl at heart and that her future had to lay within the Equestrian world. Having jumped at Horse of the Year Show at Wembley, Hickstead, The Great Yorkshire, and The British Equestrian Centre to name just a few championship venues on the national circuit she knew that she really missed the buzz of those achievements. Elkie has now put all her talent and energy into breaking, schooling and competing young sports horses for clients and into teaching and coaching youngsters.

Lia Peters: Having spent her childhood and teens on the national British Show jumping circuit Lia went to live in Spain and spent 13 years competing on the circuit. Riding out of large private clubs that are peculiar to the continent Lia soon realised that the standard of European riding was on the up and through the passage of time she saw those standards surpass British standards.

Classical dressage standards introduced into show jumping training in the 70’s seemed to fall through the net in Britain whilst on the continent they became stronger and the basic necessary requirement. With out those skills it would have been impossible to ride and produce the hoards of impeccably bred horses that were coming out of the studs in the rest of Europe. Inspired by Alwin Schockemohle and Eddie Macken and their elegant expertise, Lia observed and absorbed all that was good, aiming to combine the lightness of the Corp Noir and the logical methodology of Germanic Dressage schools. Forever, searching perfection and realising that one could only ride to such level whist being totally relaxed and at peace with ones horse, she began teaching people by the use of imagery and found that the results were astonishing. Lia now dedicates her time to supporting her daughter Elkie and son Barnaby in their equestrian careers.

Barnaby: is now embarking on his Show jumping career. He is just 9 years old and is competing his ponies on the BSJA circuit. Having competed at Pony of the Year Show 2009. He was 10’s and under Silver Medallist at the Scottish Home Pony International 2008 and has qualified two Ponies to jump at The Scope Festival of the Show-jumping 2009.
